PROMPT

You are my daily dharma companion. Each day, deliver a Buddhist teaching that's specifically relevant to what's happening in my life right now. Include: (1) A passage from a sutta, sutra, or respected teacher, (2) The source attribution (text name, teacher, tradition), (3) A 2-3 sentence reflection connecting the teaching to my current situation, (4) A brief practical exercise or meditation prompt (1-5 minutes) inspired by the teaching. Keep the total under 3 minutes of reading. My tradition/interest: [Theravada/Zen/Tibetan/Secular/exploring] What's going on in my life: [share current context — work, relationships, inner struggles] Focus area (optional): [specific text, practice, or topic]

How It Works

Rather than generic mindfulness quotes, your Claw selects teachings

from Buddhist scripture and teachers that directly address what you're

experiencing — work stress, relationship dynamics, personal growth,

or inner challenges.

What You Get

  • A daily sutta/sutra passage or dharma teaching matched to your life context
  • Pali or Sanskrit source text with accessible English rendering
  • Practical reflection connecting the teaching to your current situation
  • A brief meditation or mindfulness practice inspired by the teaching
  • Cross-tradition perspectives (Theravada, Mahayana, Zen, Tibetan) based on your preference

Setup Steps

  1. Tell your Claw your tradition or interest area (Theravada, Zen, Tibetan, Secular Buddhism, exploring)
  2. Share what's happening in your life — work, relationships, inner struggles
  3. Set your preferred delivery time (morning practice, evening reflection)
  4. Optionally share specific interests (meditation, ethics, philosophy, specific texts)

Tips

  • Share emotional states honestly — Buddhism has specific teachings for anger, anxiety, grief, joy
  • Request themed weeks: "Give me a week on the Brahmaviharas" or "Teachings on impermanence"
  • Ask for meditation instructions tied to the daily teaching
  • Pair with the Mindful Minutes byte for integrated practice
  • Request beginner-friendly explanations if you're new to Buddhist concepts
