Auto Model (`kilo/auto`) is a smart model routing system that automatically selects the optimal AI model based on the current Kilo Code mode being used, balancing cost and capability. Simply select `kilo/auto` as your model, and the system detects which mode you're using (architect, code, debug, etc.) and automatically routes to the best model for that task. Planning and reasoning tasks use Claude Opus 4.6, while implementation tasks use Claude Sonnet 4.5—all handled automatically.
