AWS Bedrock supports IAM credentials, profiles, temporary credentials, and Bedrock API keys. Production workloads should prefer temporary credentials or roles.

How to connect AWS Bedrock to Kilo

Choose a Bedrock region and credential method
Select a region that offers the models you need. Use an AWS profile, IAM role, temporary credentials, access keys, or a Bedrock API key.

Grant inference permissions
Allow bedrock:InvokeModel and the streaming equivalent when needed. Complete any Anthropic use-case form or Marketplace permissions required for the model.

Select AWS Bedrock in Kilo
Open Kilo BYOK settings, choose AWS Bedrock, then enter the region and credential fields for your chosen method.

Test the selected model
Choose an available Bedrock model, send a request, and confirm it appears in AWS usage and billing.
Before you connect
- Model availability differs by region.
- Long-term Bedrock API keys are intended for development; use roles or temporary credentials for production.
- Some Marketplace models and Anthropic models require additional first-use steps.
