How to connect AWS Bedrock to Kilo

  1. 1

Choose a Bedrock region and credential method

Select a region that offers the models you need. Use an AWS profile, IAM role, temporary credentials, access keys, or a Bedrock API key.

  2. 2

    Grant inference permissions

Allow bedrock:InvokeModel and the streaming equivalent when needed. Complete any Anthropic use-case form or Marketplace permissions required for the model.

  3. 3

    Select AWS Bedrock in Kilo

Open Kilo BYOK settings, choose AWS Bedrock, then enter the region and credential fields for your chosen method.

  4. 4

    Test the selected model

Choose an available Bedrock model, send a request, and confirm it appears in AWS usage and billing.

Before you connect

  • Model availability differs by region.
  • Long-term Bedrock API keys are intended for development; use roles or temporary credentials for production.
  • Some Marketplace models and Anthropic models require additional first-use steps.
