How to connect DeepSeek to Kilo
- 1
Create a DeepSeek deepseek api key
Sign in to DeepSeek, enable API billing if required, and create a credential for Kilo. Copy it when it is shown and keep it private.
- 2
Open Kilo BYOK settings
Open the Kilo BYOK page and choose DeepSeek from the provider list.
- 3
Add the deepseek api key
Paste the DeepSeek credential, complete any provider-specific fields, and save it. Kilo validates the configuration before using it.
- 4
Select a model and verify usage
Choose a model supplied by DeepSeek, send a test request, and confirm the request appears in your provider usage dashboard.
Before you connect
- Keep enough provider balance for requests to succeed.
- Model identifiers can change; select from Kilo’s current provider catalog rather than relying on old aliases.
