How to connect Z.ai to Kilo

  1. 1

    Create a Z.ai z.ai api key

Sign in to Z.ai, enable API billing if required, and create a credential for Kilo. Copy it when it is shown and keep it private.

  2. 2

    Open Kilo BYOK settings

Open the Kilo BYOK page and choose Z.ai from the provider list.

  3. 3

    Add the z.ai api key

Paste the Z.ai credential, complete any provider-specific fields, and save it. Kilo validates the configuration before using it.

  4. 4

Select a model and verify usage

Choose a model supplied by Z.ai, send a test request, and confirm the request appears in your provider usage dashboard.

Before you connect

  • The Coding Plan uses a different endpoint and provider entry.
  • Do not paste a Coding Plan key into the generic Z.ai entry.
