Kilo supports xAI OAuth for eligible SuperGrok and X Premium+ accounts in the VS Code extension and CLI.

How to connect SuperGrok / X Premium+ to Kilo

Open Kilo Code settings
Open Settings, then open Providers and show the additional provider options.

Select xAI Grok OAuth
Choose the SuperGrok / X Premium+ OAuth option. On a remote machine, use the headless or device-code option instead.

Authorize Kilo in your browser
Sign in to the eligible xAI account and approve access. No API key is created.

Choose a Grok model
Return to Kilo, select an available Grok model, and send a test request against your subscription allowance.
Before you connect
- OAuth subscription access works in the VS Code extension and CLI, not Cloud Agents or KiloClaw.
- Use an xAI BYOK API key instead when you need Gateway or cloud-product access.
- Concurrent Kilo processes can occasionally require re-authentication because xAI rotates refresh tokens.
