1. Contest Overview

The Kilo League ("Contest") is a competitive programming community organized by Kilo Code ("Kilo", "we", "us", or "our"). The Contest consists of weekly challenges, quarterly majors, and an annual championship with prizes as described on the Contest website.

2. Eligibility

• Participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry
• Participants must have a valid Kilo account in good standing
• Contest is void where prohibited by law
• Employees of Kilo and their immediate family members may be restricted from participation
• Participants must comply with all local, state, and federal laws

3. How to Enter

To participate in the Kilo League, you must:

• Create a free Kilo account at app.kilo.ai
• Sign up for the Kilo League through the designated registration process
• Submit entries for weekly challenges as they are released
• Comply with all submission guidelines and deadlines

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.

4. Contest Structure

4.1 Weekly Challenges

• Released every Monday via Discord and IDE notifications
• Focus on Kilo features and agentic engineering techniques
• Prizes: $5-$10 in Kilo Credits per challenge
• Maximum weekly prize pool: $1,000
• Winners determined by community voting

4.2 Quarterly Majors

• Held four times per year
• Open to top earners from weekly challenges
• Format: Virtual hackathons
• Purpose: Qualification for annual championship

4.3 Annual Championship

• Single-elimination bracket format
• Grand prize: $50,000 prize package
• Participants: Qualified winners from quarterly majors
• Timing: End of year

5. Voting and Winner Selection

Weekly challenge winners are determined by community voting. Any registered Kilo account holder may vote on submissions.

Kilo reserves the right to change the voting mechanism at any time and to make final decisions in the event of ties, low vote counts, technical issues, suspected fraud, or any other scenario that requires intervention.

All decisions by Kilo regarding the Contest are final and binding.

6. Prizes

• Weekly prizes paid as Kilo Credits to winner's account
• Championship prize details to be announced
• All prizes subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with rules
• Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution or cash equivalent is allowed
• Kilo reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value
• Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes

7. Intellectual Property

By submitting an entry, you grant Kilo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display your submission for promotional purposes related to the Contest. You retain all ownership rights to your submission.

You represent and warrant that your submission is your original work and does not infringe on any third-party rights.

8. Disqualification

Kilo reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:

• Violates these terms and conditions
• Engages in fraudulent or deceptive practices
• Attempts to manipulate voting or results
• Submits content that is offensive, inappropriate, or violates any law
• Uses automated systems or bots
• Violates Kilo's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines

9. Modifications to Contest

Kilo reserves the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest at any time
• Change contest rules, structure, or prizes
• Adjust timelines and schedules
• Make final decisions on all matters relating to the Contest

Participants will be notified of material changes via email and/or Discord.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kilo and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any damages arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance of any prize.

Kilo is not responsible for:

• Technical failures or malfunctions
• Lost, late, or misdirected submissions
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of entries
• Any injury or damage to participant's computer or property

11. Privacy

Information collected from participants is subject to Kilo's Privacy Policy. By participating, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from the Contest shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in San Francisco, California, and shall be governed by California law.

13. General Conditions

• These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Kilo regarding the Contest
• If any provision is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect
• Kilo's failure to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of that provision
• These terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict of law principles
